Hi,
can anyone help with the two digit codes after the general DTCs? I've got eg P0100-36 P1103-00 P0404-72 While I can look up the first five digit codes on the net and they are quite well explained by Lorryman above, I can't find anything about the last two digits. Is there a system to them like to the first five? Is there possibly some list that explains them? Cheers Boris |

Yesterday I wanted to place the new bas remap. Before doing that I first checked if there were any fault codes.
The bas box found the following codes: P0404 P0299 P0606 P068a So decided not to place the remap and check first. Do I have these codes now because I connected the bas tool to read the original file into the box and can I ignore it? The turbo + manifold was replaced recently because it was warped. May be that caused the codes and the dealer did not clear them? The car did not have the remap Should I be worried? Or can I place the new bas remap on the car now |

Personally I would install the map disconnect the unit as detailed. Take the truck for a spin and then rescan for codes. But that's me! I presume the truck was not running when you did the scan, in which case I would do as above?
The P404 code is EGR stuck closed. P0299 turbocharger A under boost condition P0606 engine control/powertrain module P068A fault code (ECM Power Relay Load Circuit) If you're duly worried PM Pete at BAS. If it's a new map his service is second to none and he'll sort you out. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Mees, I could have answered this in a email at the same time as doing your new map or in a email after it lol. It would have saved you posting
As k9 said, just apply the new map. They could be old fault codes or non tested dtc's etc. this is where a fault code tool in some cases can cause worry to the user for no real reason Not sure if its listed in this thread already but you can find the text meaning for the tools given P codes in my web site search box. http://bellautoservices.co.uk Pete. |
