Thanks for that... it did look pretty shabby in that photo but having taken it off, its cleaned up really well and has since been shot blasted and powder coated and looks like new again

Zim is so right...
The 'tin' plate under the Rubber Tread is not really up to it... Mine too a 3 years was all looking a bit sad, this was a basic make do and refinish, hopefully i'll replace the Tread Plate this year, removing the power coating in the process too, and refinish again. Still like the general product, just a few areas of substandard specification / material choice, oh and the finishing is... Apologies for the tread resurrection.
I have a Nas step but didn't get the retaining stays that go back to the chassis with it. Could you possibly post up dimensions for the retaining stays and the additional cross brace between them to allow me to get something made up. Thanks |

Hi there,
You'd need to say whether you have a 90 or a 110, and what age? I think there would be differences in the chassis and stays. I have an NAS fitted to my 110 and could provide some dimensions if that was any use. Thanks Donald,
Schoolboy error! I have a 1989 90. Hopefully someone can provide me with he corrected dimensions. Failing that what are the stays made of? Is it just flat bar or is it angle? If you could let me know the width and thickness of the angle / bar I could make something up. Regards |

No worries.
On mine (a 110) and, if my memory's right, on a friend's 90 which we took a NAS step from recently, the stays were steel box section, with a couple of angles. I haven't the car with me just now, but I could easily post pics later this evening. That said, I can't see any reason why some suitably robust bar wouldn't do the job - it works for the standard LR towbars. Many thanks.
Looks like inch bar 3-5mm thick will do the job.👍 |

I'd suggest you want something thicker than 3 to 5 mm. That's only 1/8" to 3/16" in old money (to match your inch).

Thanks.
Do you happen to know the thickness and width of ones that come with the tow bar? I can fit the step and sort out the lengths. Cheers |
