If they look like these then yes you crimp then heat up the sleeve, inside is adhesive lined so once heated and shrunk it makes the connector waterproof.

The ones I have, have a solder ring inside, you heat the whole lot up until the solder melts, the glue melts and sleeve shrinks, no crimping. i use a small gas torch for heating it. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

After a bit more research it appears that there are two types, crimp and heat shrink and heat shrink and solder connectors its just a case now of working out which is which. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

Yes, this one: http://www.screwfix.com/p/dremel-f0132000j...0wodoCYGeQ Those heatshrink connectors, personally I don't like them at all. Better off just soldering and then heatshrink. I oersolly don't like any clear / see though electrical connectors, but that is just me. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Best one I've had, it also has a live torch flame with variable pressure flow.
You would be pleased if you purchased. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

They are probably not in at the minute, but I have the Aldi version of that Dremel, I think it was half that price. Have used it loads and it works a treat. TBH even at the Dremel price they are great handy tool. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I already have the Portasol Technic for soldering
Dremel looks good - wish I had got that instead but I have had the Portasol for years and its a great soldering iron. |
