Greeni I totally agree, it has been done professionally this time and comes with a 12 month warranty. Yes I wouldn't have wanted it done by the first paintshop they couldn't get it right when they were being paid to do a job so goodness knows what it would have looked like a 2nd time!!
Peace of mind is priceless..... but a £250.00 donation from Chris to the MS just giving page is better than priceless Laughing 2015 HT XS 90

Stiff1 would be great to meet up, we are all entitled to different views in life and I totally respect your comments and views with regard to the charity donation, but Chris was going to have a cost outlay from his own pocket due to me having had the paintwork done myself the work here in Cornwall he then offered to and I quote

Simon - if your ever near by or planning a trip with in the future id like to offer you a complimentary rust prevention check over and top up recoat -the rust prevention is something which i myself have completed on the vehicle when the previous owner owned it however its good to keep ontop of the treatment to prolong the life of the car so giving it a recoat in obvious and renowned areas to rust will be worthwhile.

I declined his kind offer due to the distance involved and suggested he could make the donation instead.

Looking forward to arranging a meet, couple of us are talking about organising a meet up in March in Cornwall Thumbs Up 2015 HT XS 90

Simon, glad you got it sorted in the end and what a great truck you have got there, look forward to meeting up sometime around here.

It is always difficult when you inherit problems from a previous owner and I think Killer gave a very considered response to your concerns, he has always seemed a first class chap and it would be difficult to just hand a stranger a lump of money without the opportunity of inspecting the problem. Presumably his body shop would have had to make good at no cost to him so I see why he would not be keen on paying out even though there is considerable cost to you.

As for the donation, it literally brings tears to my eyes every time I read an update from MrsGreeni, such dignity in the face of adversity is truly inspiring.

However charity donations are a private matter and to link them to demands or out someone publicly is just not the done thing.

Just my thoughts, hope you still want to meet up some time.

I totally agree with this well written post,I think to force a donation is very bad form.

I also agree to try to force a donation is way out of order and is in very bad taste, CSK did not do any work for you or have a contract with you.

I think it is you who owes Chris an apology.
