Oh dear god, Someone i went to school with went ballistic at me when i bumped into her returning from that trump protest when me and my friend (who just so happens to be Lithuanian) were casually discussing how he might have voted if he had the right to (turns out they can't as Lithuania doesn't accept dual citizenship).
She called me a fascist & racist member of the Ruling buguoise, and that i needed to "check my privilege". Which i ridiculously ironic and contradictory. The funny thing is she knew very little about my upbringing & personal circumstances. During the whole brexit debacle she was the one to blame "old people" for the brexit vote, the funny thing is, out of about 30 people who i work with who are my age (+/- a couple of years) only 2 voted to stay in, out of my friends about 75% voted out, of which 100% of out voters never went to university (or full time university) and about 50% of those that did go full time uni. She is the exact reason conservatives or even critical thinking centrists like myself don't like to dicuss politics, which only furthers the divide between them. She is also unironically: A member of Antifa A member of RESPECT & momentum Never had a real job - she works for the university as a "political officer" whatever that is, like a commissar perhaps? More facist than me More privileged than me. Disrupts hunts Flew all the way to america to take part in protests
I say Damnatio memoriae they only do it to go down in history books, same goes for terrorists.
Step 1: Find a disused prison or island where they cannot escape from Step 2: Set up limited Provisions around the are Optional step: Provide Weapons & or Drugs Step 3: put the two gangs into this area Step 4: ????? Step 5: Profit? Current: TD5 '110 "Lucinda" Thread here: https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic62562.html |

You need to realise there are two parallel languages at play.
The language of the colonist and the language of the colonised. You always hear one language in the broadcast media (hate crime, hate criminal etc), never the other (freedom fighter, blow for freedom etc). As an example of the two languages, in 1857 there was the "Indian Mutiny". That's what we the colonists called it. In India today it is called "the first uprising" Note the difference. The establishment see the Brexit vote as a "mutiny" against the settled order. It was in fact, an uprising. Maybe Trump's election was an American uprising. It is not an intellectual thing, it comes from deeper down than that. Whilst in the past, colonists used armies to maintain colonisation, today it is overwhelming one-sided propaganda (that re-brands colonisation as "immigration", "multi-culturalism" and "diversity") that is used to keep the proles quiet. Unlike Trump, we should never condemn someone for their skin colour, ethnicity or religion. That is not acceptable. But if we see in our country some unnerving similarities to what colonised peoples all over the world saw (when Europe was colonising them) then the conclusion is inescapable. Refugees from the Scottish Highland clearances and the Irish potato famine paid to be taken across the Atlantic to America. They are referred to as colonists. Today, those who pay to be taken across the Mediterranean to Europe are called refugees. When does a refugee become a colonist? Discuss. |

Great response although I disagree about your assertion that Trump discriminates based on skin color or religion. He discriminates based on immigration law and whether or not you come from a country that is hostile to the USA. He wasnt this racist figure until he ran for president and he's been in the public spotlight since the 80's.

Visa versa in my case, my great grandmother came from a loyalist catholic Irish family escaping the IRA after the War of independence & subsequent civil war. The Irish Displaced ~200,000 of their own through violence. Whilst i agree there are always two sides to the same coin, there is a head and a tail, there is also a rim, whereby the coin is just a coin. Example being i don't see Michael Collins as a terrorist or a freedom fighter, he is just a man who fought for his countries independence, nothing more, nothing less. I don't even watch TV any more, too much entertainment and political favor. Example being this https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-the-papers-44091118 which only served to add opinion to a subjective thing.
