My Defender went in to the local LR dealer, in Droitwich and all the outstanding recalls were carried out or confirmed as done. All sorted, no cost. Very Happy

Hi there, further to the reply already received by Amelia, for the appropriate fee, you can log on to https://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/topix/vehicle/lookupForm and input your own Defenders details, to access all information on any outstanding issues and also previous work already carried out.

alternatively you can just check with your local main dealer.

Ecco
As I understand, it's over a range of engine/VIN numbers, mostly in 2012.
Your best bet is to register with the Topix website and do a VIN search on your vehicle, then check for recall service actions.

David

Good morning Ecco,

Thank you for your message.

I would be more than happy to investigate this further for you in order to confirm what recalls are outstanding. In order for me to do so, can you please kindly confirm your vehicle and contact details.

Many thanks,
Amellia

Hi Amellia
Now that my vehicle is "up to date" with the recalls, who updates the Topix website?
It still shows my vehicle as needing the recalls.
Regards
David

Good morning Farmer58za,

Thank you for your message.

I can confirm that this is updated internally once the recall has been completed and reacts to information submitted by an alternate system.

Just for future reference, there will be a record to state that this has been completed on an alternate system so on your next retailer visit so this is not actioned further, however there may have been a delay in TOPIx updating.

Many thanks,
Amellia

Things must happen faster in Australia !
My 130 had the oil pump recall and fix late 2015 or early 2016. I had the second recall on getting the front axle extra bracket added around Feb 2016.
Did you get the front axle recall in England ?

I think I need to check the vin number to see if its on the list were it should have had the recall done!
I'm waiting on Landrover to reply about it, a weeks gone by and nothing yet

vin range from another thread
http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic34986....p;start=15

My Defender is about 8000 vehicle's from this recall, I'm wondering is there a wider problem outside this vin number range?
Cathal.

Thanks cmcc.

So there's post in that thread which says "The Service Action has the Vin Range: LD405037 - LD443988 and is listed for Model Years: 2012 - 2013"

Does that mean the actual VIN needs to end on ...LD123456 or the "LD" simply means Land Rover Defender. My VIN would be in that range, but the "LD" are two other letters. Surely LD Vins are 1990's VINs?

LR tech bulletins use a (non obvious) combination of the vehicle model ID (LD = Defender, LA = D3/4, LR = D5 etc) and the last 6 numbers of the VIN (sequential build number).

So check your last 6 numbers rather than any letters.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top
2015 D90 XS SW

Thanks Martin,that's what I thought.

I'm in the middle of the VIN range, but oddly my stealer tells me I'm not affected.

Hi Harry. I'm having a similar problem - how did this work out for you?
