That's very nice but it's a Series III rather than a Defender. Darren

If the definition of Defender is widening, then this should get a mention
Click image to enlarge Land Rovers had a very important part in building the Grand Dixence Dam, in Switzerland from 1953 to 1961. It's the highest dam of Europe (285 m) an the tird in the world. Landies were transported with this unique method. https://t.co/9tBznK6bJd https://twitter.com/LandRoverFanClb/status...74881?s=17 |

No problem. Thought a few on here might appreciate it.
Did a few Google searches to look for any more associated with the project, but I think I went off on a tangent when I saw a few nice period Swiss Unimogs |

Today I discovered that a tree had blown down and crashed through the fence on a meadow.
Click image to enlarge Loaded the chainsaw and gear into the 1984 Ninety and spent the day sawing it up, then loaded the Ninety with timber. A lovely day in the sunshine. Click image to enlarge Click to enlarge and you can see why so many Land Rovers from 1949 were painted in Deep Bronze Green. Fits into the countryside rather well. |
