"Drink?" is actually in Hebden Bridge, where there are a few good bars, but I gather there are a few in Tod too - I need to have a check!

I used to use the Masons Arms and Barearts Brewery. I know the masons closed a few years back, but unsure about the barearts as the owner/brewery I believe was killed in an accident. Don't know whether his widow kept it going as the "taphouse" was also her art gallery.

Like I say be interesting to pop back as it's been pushing 10 years since I was last there. Be interesting to see what's changed and what's not. Quirky place to saw the least 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone
2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone
2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW

That's very nice but it's a Series III rather than a Defender. Darren

I don't suppose anybody will care that much - I'm just being pedantic. Darren

I cared LRA.

But I kept quiet to let you look like the nit-picking purist, instead of me! Rolling with laughter

I guess it's my turn next time. Laughing

If the definition of Defender is widening, then this should get a mention

Land Rovers had a very important part in building the Grand Dixence Dam, in Switzerland from 1953 to 1961. It's the highest dam of Europe (285 m) an the tird in the world. Landies were transported with this unique method.

No problem. Thought a few on here might appreciate it.

Did a few Google searches to look for any more associated with the project, but I think I went off on a tangent when I saw a few nice period Swiss Unimogs Whistle

Today I discovered that a tree had blown down and crashed through the fence on a meadow.

Loaded the chainsaw and gear into the 1984 Ninety and spent the day sawing it up, then loaded the Ninety with timber.

A lovely day in the sunshine.

Click to enlarge and you can see why so many Land Rovers from 1949 were painted in Deep Bronze Green. Fits into the countryside rather well.
