Dynamat installation
All

Need advice on installing Dynamat extreme to the hood.

- Do you cut the sheet to fit/paste into the spaces where there is no double layer in the hood
- Do you then put an overall cover using Dynamat Hood liner to make it look neater? Is Hood liner required?
- Any pictures would be helpful?

Have a look on the CSK Land Rovers site, Chris used to have lots of good photos on there.
What you've said sounds right to me, I decided against fitting any under there myself though.

I'm sure you are already savvy enough to ow to wear gloves when fitting, it has edges like razor blades when cutting abd fitting in.

Thumbs Up

Had mine lined with a 19mm hood liner and it's certainly helped cut down on engine noise. I can't say how it was fitted though as I didn't do it.

Thanks Riverboy

That's the picture I was after. Do you have Dynamat extreme beneath the Hoodliner?

Steve/Martin

Thanks for the thread and quite useful info. The thread has the complete picture of installation. The only one missing is relating to hood!!

I think I will do the Dynamat extreme first to the areas that can be fixed under the hood and then do a hoodliner

Cheers

I'm not sure to be honest. The guys that did it did the whole car and did an amazing job so I suspect they did. In the main cabin they added new carpet trim to exposed areas and I wasn't expecting that. If you are doing it yourself then yes I would add as much as you can. Thumbs Up Given your location, you should see a big improvement in heat insulation if you are doing the entire car. It's made a massive difference to mine.

No worries Martin

Managed to get the Dynamat extreme fixed to hood in patches followed by Hoodliner. Definitely lot better. Also managed to fix some to the foot well and the middle row floor.
