Hi , yes brand new battery in fob and tested that it’s transmitting and it is, I’ve plugged my launch in and a Bosch kts both won’t communicate with immobiliser module, the 10as is a black box and again all connectors look good . Thanks Paul

Why is there a new battery in the fob? Did it break with the old battery, ie could replacing the battery mean the fob has lost it’s programming, it still radiates rf if not programmed I believe? Do you have a second fob programmed anywhere? Any signs of water ingress in the as10?

Hi no just changed the battery to try to resolve this fault and did it quickly as recommended, old battery had 2.94volts anyway and no only came with one fob, I never use the fob anyway vehicle is not normally locked, just always starts when you turn the key, it drove fine with no faults just parked it up on Saturday went back to it and no start..

Hmmmm sounds like a dead as10 to me also, But I am no expert........
Like I say black as10 are easier to get hold of or repair, Martin may be able to advise where best to go, I found a place that could repair my green one for about 50 quid I recall, but turned out to be the dodgy replacement ignition switch. JD 2008 TDCi 2.4 XS CSW |

Let us know what you discover, always good for reference......good luck, it’s horrible when it won’t start, happened to me twice in France which was a nightmare, and a few times here in the uk, really put me off the truck, but since Martin fixed the fault it’s been perfect.......

Martin sent me bypass details which don’t work on the 2.2, but I will try to find my source of replacement as10 modules Tomorrow for you, I don’t have the info with me tonight. But if the as10 has failed, nothing will help apart from replacement or repair 😫

I don't think any of the aftermarket diagnostic kit will communicate properly with the later black ALM unit: https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic68425.html 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

That's not true. The Nanocom can do it. But the function is only available as a beta version. Its final release shall follow soon ... |
