The lower rear shock bushes wear out pretty quickly and give a terrible noisy ride when they have. Extremely cheap and quick to change.
Look at the bottom of the rear shocks when bouncing the rear end up and down by hand. If there is any loss of contact between the bush and the shock/retaining cups they need replacing. |

Bushes in general I would say, especially the shock bushes and anti roll bar bushes.
What pressure are you running your tyres at? What springs have you got on? HD springs will jar the truck around instead of conforming to the road. |

On my 2005 TD5 it was the rear shock lower bushes. I replaced them but they didn't last more than a few months.
So l fitted poly ones (but not the hard compound type) and all has been fine since then. |

Why would the rear bushes wear out quicker then the front? the front is heavier, right?
BTW, Thank you all giving the input! Can the panhard rod do the noise??? ![]() |

Like to update on this issue, end up is the front shocks dead, and all bushes are gone!
now with new shocks and all new bushes replace, it roll fine again! ![]() ![]() ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() ![]() I can not remove the turret from top hole of inner fender, because the metal inner fender has block about 3mm of the bottom of the turret... i need to use a long metal stick to make the fender more room for the turret, also there is a plactic inner fender blocking the turret, but I was able to remove the turret with shocks from under the wheel arch! |
