Good morning,
I am considering purchasing the Nugget Stuff Sealed air intake kit from First Four. It says clearly in their add that it's only suitable for a RHD vehicle. The air induction routing is identical on LHD and RHD so can someone shed some light on the possible issues for a LHD? https://www.firstfour.co.uk/item/2176798/d...ystem--rhd |

Hi James,
Thanks for your reply. That would be the case with older vehicles, but on the Puma LHD and RHD have the air inlet on the same spot so that should be the same. Don't believe the heater being there on mine instead of clutch cylinder, brake booster and steering column is an issue either. Have inquired with Nugget Stuff in Australia as well, will share as soon as I receive their answer. |

sorry i assumed air intake was on drivers side on LHD too. i have a webasto in mine between the heater and the wing am sure you would get nugget in there.
i have nugget on one of mine, will get the D44 next time, seals better i think. Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

The amount of sealing is exponentially related to the amount of silicone used. haha. I like the Devon one a lot, Nugget seems a lot better value for money though, the Devon is GBP114 incl VAT.

nugget ones seals to the wing, you then seal the snorkel to the other side of the wing.
d44 one you could seal to the snorkel Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

I suspect that the issue may be routing the Nugget components past the heater and heater air intake, which on a LHD vehicle is on the same side as the engine air intake.

Nugget Stuff has an EXCELLENT reputation in Aussie.
Wayne is the owner, an ABSOLUTE GENTLEMAN,..he has a pretty impressive 130. I'm sure He'd love to speak to anyone, if they had any questions regarding his gear. Pickles. |

I'm waiting on mine to arrive so I can install my Mantec Plastic Jobbie and make sure it's a true snorkel. Will be raising all my other breathers while I'm at it.
I've been in contact with Wayne and he hasn't mentioned any potential issues for me as I have a LHD truck. Will keep all y'all posted once the kit arrives. |

Is there anything else in a Puma that needs waterproofing? And sensors that don't like getting wet?
I've seen a Disco 2 with a snorkel die after a water crossing because it's electrics threw a wobbly. |

Installed the Nugget kit, it's brilliant!
Engine is more quiet and I think I have more power. Still observing though. So yes, it fits LHD trucks. |

Hi HardCharger,
Could to snap some picks for me? As I could not get in in with the heater intake being in the way. Even cut up the heater intake to try to get it to fit an no luck either. |
