England
Exactly MoG Thumbs Up

The man's entitled to his opinion. Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

Personally I believe we have a good balance with the way our system works. It might be antiquated, but we tried getting rid of the monarchy and it didn't work. The place was miserable and they brought them back.

It's interesting that the people who are accidentally put there by birth, not through any form of consensus of the public, are actually the only ones who are uniformly doing everything for the best of the Country rather than self serving manipulation.

Of course one can argue that they don't need to because they have everything already, but if you look at the workload of the Queen, and the commitment to this Country, you cannot deny she has worked harder and longer than any politician since the great war.

On that basis, I'm happy to wish her a very happy birthday. Thumbs Up New project and it's green: www.projectoverland.info
