Thanks for that. Looking at where the mantec carrier attaches, it won't work with the SE bumperettes. Shame.

Never mind - I'll keep my eyes peeled for a solution. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS

Alan, just had a look at the Mantec wheel carrier and I don't think any of the small rear bumperettes will fit with this style of wheel carrier.

The North American spec tow bar/spec might well fit with the Mantec carrier. Have a look HERE

That was my con conclusion too. I've got the SE 2" receiver like you so a NAS step is out of the question. If I change the carrier at any point in the future, I may get some bumperettes otherwise I'll just have to modify them to fit with the mantec. No big deal and no rush for now.

Thanks for looking into it Thumbs Up One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS

So... I sent them back and they sent me a new set of AllMakes bumperettes ref. gal025:

But there is no fitting instructions in the parcel and it really looks like it needs drilling the rear crossmember Banging Head

Anyone there who would had those fitted and would be willing to share the fitting instructions (a simple scan would do) or even some pics?

This whole bumperette fiasco is starting to drive me nuts Big Cry

To be honest, the brackets on those do not look very tough at all, and I would be loathe to put them on the vehicle.

True Big Cry One more reason for not drilling the crossmember...

But there's one thing to consider as well, I prefer the bracket to bend rather than the rear cross member.

Anyhow, as I said, it was not my choice, just an item they sent me as a replacement for the BA290 that would not fit initially...

Yesterday I eventually took the time to fit these bumperettes and I am quite pleased with the result! Thumbs Up

Rather than drilling the crossmember (no-go for me), I decided I'd rather adapt the brackets to the car rather than the contrary. The brackets on the side would fit on the existing bolts whereas the ones toward the rear door would fit in one existing hole (I would use only one bolt there, but that should be sufficient Whistle )

As the bolts on the ccrossmember are not aligned vertically I enlarged the existing holes in the brackets using a round file, then put a coat of Kurust followed by black Hammerite.

As I wanted to avoid any direct contact between the bumperettes and the crossmember (to protect the crossmember), I bought a sheet of rubber that I cut and drilled to play the role of a soft washer.

For the existing bolts, I kept the washers between the bracket and the crossmember, again to avoid contact between the bracket and the crossmember, and added another washer to hold the bracket tight.

One finished, I sprayed some Waxoil (that I bought when I had my car Waxoiled at Rustmaster a few months ago) inside the cross member, although I doubt that was required as I did not drill any hole, but that doesn't hurt either...

The rubber sheet I used, cut and drilled to the correct size:
