Another weekend & a bit more work on the landrover
Finally Fixed the hoops & the bulkhead removal bars - Because of the position of the hoop bars mounting, I had to drill through the Hoop mounting to fix the bulkhead removal bar to the hoop bar, so all in all a very strong and connected unit ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge Fixed the front drivers side Door gutters. Given its a landrover tolerances a few washers were needed to get the alignment right. I suspect will need a bit more fettling once the hood is on ![]() Click image to enlarge 2020 P300 HSE |

Next it was fit the rear tailgate hinges - Excellent product from Purely Metal
![]() End result opened ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge Then it was fit the spare wheel carrier - I went for the galvanised finish as I think it blends in better with the back of the vehicle - Thanks Brendan excellent choice - I used Brendan's knowledge to get the right product ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge That was all practical stuff, then I fitted a bit of bling ex FCX ![]() Click image to enlarge I finally took the hood out & laid it over the hoops so it can acclimatise before I try fitting it ! What I have noticed is that apart from the bulkhead removal bar, nothing has comes with any fitting instructions, it is very much trial & error to get everything fitting correctly ![]() ![]() Apologies for the state of my garage, we had to empty our caravan to go back to Swift to sort a leak ![]() ![]() |

I think circa £120/£130
I've deliberately not kept any receipts so I do not know how much I've spent ![]() |

Re the carrier its Safari equip from Brendan
I still have to:- Finish the passenger side drip guards Fit the hood Fit the alive tuning suspension Fit the new wheels Take the inside apart to fit an alarm & at the same time fit dynamat actually a cheaper alternative whose name eludes me Dynamat the rear tub Probably will fit heated screen & seat wiring for future use when the dash is in pieces ! That's about it for now 2020 P300 HSE |
