Another weekend & a bit more work on the landrover

Finally Fixed the hoops & the bulkhead removal bars - Because of the position of the hoop bars mounting, I had to drill through the Hoop mounting to fix the bulkhead removal bar to the hoop bar, so all in all a very strong and connected unit

Fixed the front drivers side Door gutters.

Given its a landrover tolerances a few washers were needed to get the alignment right. I suspect will need a bit more fettling once the hood is on

Next it was fit the rear tailgate hinges - Excellent product from Purely Metal Thumbs Up

End result opened

Then it was fit the spare wheel carrier - I went for the galvanised finish as I think it blends in better with the back of the vehicle - Thanks Brendan excellent choice - I used Brendan's knowledge to get the right product

That was all practical stuff, then I fitted a bit of bling ex FCX

I finally took the hood out & laid it over the hoops so it can acclimatise before I try fitting it !

What I have noticed is that apart from the bulkhead removal bar, nothing has comes with any fitting instructions, it is very much trial & error to get everything fitting correctly Whistle saying that it has mostly been straight forward although sometimes it would have been nice to have instructions for a sense check on what I was doing Exclamation

Apologies for the state of my garage, we had to empty our caravan to go back to Swift to sort a leak Crying or Very sad , so have the contents of the caravan including all the cushions for 6 weeks Exclamation 2020 P300 HSE

Love it.
Which wheel carrier is that? Though I'm not sure if I'll bother with one, I only carry the spare if I'm going hours away from home !!

Re the carrier its Safari equip from Brendan

I still have to:-
Finish the passenger side drip guards
Fit the hood
Fit the alive tuning suspension
Fit the new wheels
Take the inside apart to fit an alarm & at the same time fit dynamat actually a cheaper alternative whose name eludes me
Dynamat the rear tub

Probably will fit heated screen & seat wiring for future use when the dash is in pieces !

That's about it for now 2020 P300 HSE
