In topix there is a Special Service Bulletin entitled

SSM64357 - Defender DPF Regeneration using Low Range

Bulletins>Special Service Messages >Engine

Does anyone here have access to TOPIX to be able to know what it says?

Here is the info on how to do a manual regeneration.

Issue:
DPF Regeneration using Low Range.
Action:
It is possible to regenerate the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) in low range. This can be done by carrying out the following drive cycle. 1) Drive the vehicle in 3rd gear low range.
2) To ensure optimum regeneration of the DPF, the engine speed must be maintained at between 3000-4000rpm.
3) Drive the vehicle for a total of 10 minutes to the condition specified in points 1 and 2. During the drive cycle the amber DPF lamp will extinguish, if this happens before 10 minutes has elapsed please continue to drive the vehicle until the full 10 minutes has been achieved to ensure full regeneration of the DPF. 2010 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 TDCI.

Yap, good info for the amber light - but forced DPF regen extinguishes the r e d DPF light !

And you'll need a Nanocom or a retailer's SDD kit ... Whistle
