Yep kids 9 & 10 . Been to the gorge canyoning last year and also a great day . However we're either canoeing loch morlich or taking the steam train to boat of garten on the Saturday . I'm hoping other non off roaders with kids will join our activities also . Cheers |

This time next week, I will be sat with my BBQ and a glass of whisky, unaware just how stuck in a pond I will become... Ignorance is bliss

Awesome, can not wait.
What sort of kit should I take with me, apart from a serviceable land of course I have a tow rope, spade, what else? I have dixi plate on my defender, do I need to worry about that? I have a 110 station wagon. Cheers Andy |

A Photo to illustrate my meaning.
I can remove the ball hitch and step, but the dixi plate will remain. Click image to enlarge Cheers Andy Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Jim,
What are you flying? I was going to bring my phantom 2, but if you have one I can bring along my spare battery's (charged of course) to maximise possible footage G My confidence has been writing cheques that my abilities can't cash for years. |

@robbontherock- it would be worth taking your steps off but leaving your towbar on if possible just in case you get yourself in a pickle/someone else gets in a pickle and requires a bit of a pull. Hopefully unlikely but the law of sod dictates that if you don't have it on you'll need it!
Drone footage!? Wow that would be quite something! although I know Ian had a bit of a howler with someone crashing theirs whilst trying to use one on a 4x4 trip a few months ago...... Cake is good. You can never have enough cake whilst on holiday. Water- we will be out all day so everyone need to make sure they have plenty of food and drinks.... Chris |
