Ive just changed mine for that very reason.
Tried the repair "paint" with limited success. Paid £50 for a new window and £10 to have a friendly fitter swap it round. Recommend paying the few £ extra for a genuine part. Its scary how easy it is to push the window out! |

I'd just go for new glass as mentioned above.

Halfords do such a kit to repair heated windows
Not cheap, and can be a bit hit and miss. I did use it on my rear window, if it stops working again I will simply replace the glass next time. 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

The fixit kits I've seen look a bit rubbish IMHO, you paint it on or something like that, seems a bit Halfords 1982 to me!
Have you thought about buying a replacement rear glass? Funnily enough I am removing my tinted heated rear window next week (fully working) and will have it for sale soon. 2016 D4 HSE 1998 110 TUM HS FFR Hard Top XD WOLF 1982 Series 3 SWB Petrol |
