All of the pictures in this set are from Charyn Canyon, SE Kazakhstan.
Click image to enlarge This hole was quite difficult to go through, the gap on both sides of my roof tent was about 1 cm. Click image to enlarge Cool place, cool water. Click image to enlarge The canyon from above. Click image to enlarge Janusz www.yahodeville.com |

When I was in Kazakhstan two years ago (during the 2013 heat wave) we saw them watering the road in places to stop it melting. And one morning woke up to a load of camels wandering by our camping spot |

Wow, amazing trip.......
and as others have said, please keep the fantastic pictures coming! Did you get any dodgy fuel on your travels? I use the same type of funnel here in Australia, even when filling at the city pumps. In fact the only time I've got a bad batch was in Melbourne. The filter worked a treat, the attendant couldn't believe the amount of diesel snot that it captured. |

The whole Uzbekistan is dodgy fuel. It has a colour of very dark black tea, smokes a bit more and leaves green residue in the exhaust. I have not seen any snot inside, maybe because I was not really looking for it. What was left in the filter I have always returned to my canister. Back home when I looked inside I have found a lot of small metal chips, dirt etc. but not snot.
The whole Uzbekistan runs on propane, all other petrol stations are dry. You can find diesel mostly outside cities where truckers and agriculture machines tank. I would never approach such dirty diesel pumps here but over there there is no other choice. Despite all above the engine had not problems whatsoever. Janusz www.yahodeville.com |

Eduardo it looks like you may have a little competition regarding fantastic scenic overlanding trips. I do enjoy the feedback from your trips too.
