A pleasure to see something that is being done with such attention to detail. I guess these machine/tools are work ones or have you got the ultimate man cave?

Scanning, Reverse Engineering, all this sort of stuff is my bread and butter now for the last 15yrs..love it! Was recently over scanning a load of Merc AMG tooling which they wanted reverse engineered... Actually had the guys in today/tomo to service my CMM, which also have a scanner for the really detailed stuff. Always glad to help any members if they have any ideas! Made some progress this evening so i have the seats, drawers and a rough cubby all setup now, a fairly basic subframe should do the trick. I will add some USB/12v sockets in the cubby front and pretty sure something else will go in.. I have a nice space under the cubby, 280x200x450mm which cant be wasted.. I can mount something like the D4 torch in the front, but maybe a drawer that pulls out into the back?? Open to any suggestions!

Right last of the CAD pictures i promise but completed the subframe and drawings today so tomorrow the fabrication will commence!
Subframe will bolt into existing points, and then to keep the factory look i am making a skin which will get painted Corris. It has access hatches and incorporates the floor lights for the third row. Cubby is just going to houss electric window switches and 12v's, and then 2 under seats drawers which could not be a better shape and size for the job! One more just for you then Clayton...
Dont want the rear cubby to be loaded up with switches etc so only adding the window controls, will print the surrounds off tomorrow and fit them. Belts look awesome, and I'm itching to see how the sub-frame turns out, as those CAD drawings look the business.

Awesome work Andy! You weren't tempted with a 'cooled' middle cubby?!?!

Are you having a drop down rear screen rather than headrest ones? Loving the mods keep the pictures coming |
