I've always used an etch primer (had good results with PPG)
And never had any adhesion problems. 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

Yes, etch primer.
You may wish to use a fine hi-build primer on top though as I find etch primer rather 'absorbant' so takes up the paint more than you'd expect. I have always just made sure I've had more paint on hand. All depends on how you lay it down too. My sub grille was cast Alu: Click image to enlarge Not a great quality photo but it's been brilliant no problem at all. I use Autotek etch but each man has his own preference. |
