Recaro Cross Sportster CS Bucket / SVX Recaro Seats
I'm very interested in a pair of these seats - either the Land Rover items or the pretty much identical Recaro option. A quick scout of Ebay highlighted a few options - Recaro's from £2350 a pair and the Land Rover items at £1749 each (still substantially less than rrp).

Anyone else interested?

Where's a good place to try for best prices?

Has there ever been a group buy?

I think given the big differential in price I'd go with the Recaro (non LR fabric) option. Either in full leather or leather/suede.

Thoughts welcome.

Apologies...maybe this should be in the Group Buy section?

Mods, please feel free to relocate as you see fit.

Thanks. I'll be putting them into a new vehicle so I'm looking to purchase new.

Good luck.

I had them dealer fitted in mine and love them. A pricey upgrade but worth it IMHO Smile

I have a set of SVX ones in mine that came from a very early 'group buy.' Several group buys were initiated but I believe only one ever came to fruition.

I'll probably go for the full leather Recaro version rather than the Land Rover branded one - mainly because they're substantially less expensive and pretty much identical (except for being full leather!).

I'd be interested.

My plan is either to re-trim my XS seats or go the whole way and fit leather SVX/Recaro.

Found it!

Duckworthparts did a group buy on these,

http://www.defender2.net/forum/post96171.html#96171

In a later thread they are priced at £3600 a pair inclusive of VAT which is significantly cheaper than anywhere else for OEM ones with the removable bases. Maybe worth either calling him or dropping a 'pm' if your pockets are deep enough. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Very useful. Also noted the difference between the SVX seat and Recaro CS seat which I hadn't noticed.

I was in at £2400 (Recaro option), but £3600 is probably a step too far for me.
