This will be my option...

All black pleather! I'd go with the seat heating.

Is the fitting kit required - it's part of this particular set?

Just having a read on their website, the seat kit they offer will raise the seat up and give you more leg room.

The only thing I would say is be wary of how high it will lift the seat. I fitted mud seat rails to mine but removed them quickly because not only did the raise the seat and allow me to move it back further, they raised the seat to the point where I had to duck to see out of the side window! Russell

Will they fit directly to my existing seat rails (90XS)?

What's used with the SVX seat?

What are the trim raisers all about?

On original seats with a bulkhead bar fitted you can increase the amount the seat goes backwards and raise the seating position giving more leg room. Dgardel fitted Recaros and found the seat base a little low so fitted 'risers or raisers.' I had a set anyway so left them in when I fitted the Recaros. See this thread for more info:

The shiny silver bit under the seat is what I was on about. My ones are different and obscure the seat rail mechanism but both do exactly the same thing.

The Fire and Ice Defender had a leather/alcantara Recaro. Pretty much the same as the Recaro Cross Sportster CS leather/alcantara seat.

Alcantara is a decent man-made fabric; however, having had it in another (non-utility) vehicle, I'd be interested to hear how it has worn in a Defender that gets used in all weathers.

I've had quite a few cars with part Alcantara and I've never had a problem. They weren't off-roaders of course!

I have this arriving in November....(it will be attached to a car!).

I'm looking forward to the GT4. I've been a long time on a waiting list!

I've emailed a couple of suppliers for prices and awaiting a reply. If they're competitive I'll pop the offer on here.

Sure of that? I know they were announced to come like that at one point by LR, but I have never seen one with Recaros. All I have seen came with standard seats in alcantara/leather, including an ICE which almost lives next door from me. There is a nice movie on YouTube about the Fire and Ice editions for Singapore and they also are with such standard seats.
I actually am curious if the Recaros maybe were an option at the time, with little if any takers, or if LR between announcing these versions (with Recaros) then changed their mind and in the end delivered all of them with standard seats.

I took the info from the Recaro website - OE suppliers. They listed OE supplier for SVX together with Fire and Ice models.

Could have been factory options.
