Went beating today for the second time this season.
The hosts were generous to a mixed team of Guns and let them go way over their paid-for bag of partridge (and we still finished at 2.30pm). It was far too hot, and more like high summer. Doesn't seem right, beating in shirtsleeves. I guess the rain and mud will be here soon..... We had a simulated game day at home, 3 drives, 1000 clays a drive, plenty to go at. Other brands are available.....

I help run a simo day up in Cheshire, great fun.
Although we can never get a convoy like that without a smattering of FFRR's Mrs G bought a new gun 6 weeks ago, but hasn't shot it yet |

The disco in the middle I forgive. It is a 2005 D3 which he has had from new and he still goes out to Croatia in it each year. It is a shed, it has more warning lights than you can shake a stick at, but on it goes!
How much work is there in a simulated day? I cooked the bacon and brewed the coffee, two guys turned up with pick ups and trailers and set it all up. We then went to the pub... Great fun though, especially getting the youngsters involved. Annoyingly a 14 year old who hadn’t shot at all before won the 20 bird flush competition at the end. He is a cracking rugby player and cricketer. Bloody kids!! |

Kids hey
We run 2 game trailers and do 5-6 different drives on 2 different locations, including Crewe Hall Estate. Uaually sending 3500 clays. It's a hard long day and we do cater in the field too. There's 4 of us in total including the chef-hostess. In fact the first day my v8 was built and mot'd was out on a simo day. We don't run in the game season. (I don't shoot game tbh) Pics. |

Wow, that tack looks great. The two trailers today had 3 traps a piece and appeared to be programmed / automated. It makes for a very enjoyable day out.
Good luck getting Mrs G to try the gun! |

We just got some Bren 2 pistols from CZ in America. A limited quantity until they are officially released to us. Iam very excited about the 7.62 x 39 rifle from CZ. CZ makes nice stuff!

She's got more guns than me she just became very poorly a couple of days after buying her new one She had a 'line' put in her neck for blood plasma exchanges and the procedure was right where she mounts the gun. She was gutted and now scared that shooting may disturb the wound. |

No the 805 is the older version. We've had those for a couple of years now and guys really like them. The 806 and 807 are the newer version and are supposed to be lighter than the 805 and have better features. It's funny because we've been drooling over the new version and CZ didnt even announce it would release a small quantity to the US. They just quietly did it. I wish I had the extra money!
