As a precaution yes , but if old ones undo then you dont need anything
only thing i would fit at same time are spring isolators on a 90 like these eBay Item No. 261531397469 Last edited by munch90 on 3rd Aug 2015 8:53am. Edited 1 time in total |

4 Springs 2 x Turret rings with 4x 8mm Nuts & Washers per ring (I believe they have a normal 8mm washer and a spring/lock washer) 2 x front shocks with Nuts & Bushes 2 x Rear Shocks with top bushes & Nuts and Bottom Bushes & Nuts 2 X Front spring retaining clamps with bolts, Nuts & washers 2 x rear spring retaining clamps with bolts & Nuts you will probably be able to reuse the spring seats, but they do corrode. The turret rings do have captive bolts, (If you're fitting dislocation cones you will need a set of rings with longer bolts.. Think that's everything.. My 1986 90 is currently on a full rebuild, with new chassis, Paint etc.. Very much a hybrid, TD5 Chassis, tub & bulkhead with a 200TDI and LT77 GB Painted in Stornoway Grey ![]() |

Cheers chaps.
Rears are all done, so now just the front and normal service will be resumed! I have all the bushes for the front shocks as well as the nuts.(at least I think I ordered them but will check) For me standard shocks etc all round and no dislocation cones needed. Thanks Munch90 - are these needed on a 110 and what do the do ? I think the turret rings might be a good idea as the old ones I suspect are the original ones. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |
