I bought a set of genuine spring isolators too from Dan, they could be Britpart as maybe they are
OEM spec as I know some parts are Britpart's but genuine. Set of 4x but may go with 8x or possibly 6x depending on what goes on on the front. Price wise they were thrown in with other bits so I don't know until I get the receipt. They seem pretty good value though is what I can say and this should be an upgrade as currently I have none. The rear spring is getting weak and generally to the rear pretty fought ride now and I light to regular too. Although only negligible I'd have thought the isolators would help further keeping corrosion at bay too rather that steel on steel. Will also give me a chance to rustproof new hidden nooks and crannies. It's a bit worrying though that new 90 genuine springs for a set are knocking on £300 though but still that's nothing compared to tyre prices etc. When I'll get all the bits together and attempt the job I do not know, super busy right now. ![]() |

I got most of my bits this week
Spring turret ring of bolts New bottom clamp bracket Isolators for the front The spring turret ring looked like it was Zinc coated as did the bottom spring clamps. So I took the chance to give them a couple of coats of silver paint just to help things along. I might have a crack today depending on how I get on with other jobs first. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

Yes, I think they are handed. Not the newest ones though bizarrely
IIRC. The info on orientation is on here somewhere, you can go by the markers on the springs themselves. Also HT and SW springs are different too, HT's softer and SW's harder due to weight differences. |

If they are its a bit late! Both had the same markings on yellow/yellow. They did come from a 2015 model Defender 110 though. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Yeah, sounds correct to me.
Frankly I want see any difference at all between an early Puma sus to a late. Providing as I mention you stick to the SW or HT variant. If you fit SW springs to a HD you'd get a harder ride almost HD springs quality and they give a rubbish tide in particular if you don't ever tow, carry weight or only light tow lie myself. |

The ride appears a lot better now all springs, and shocks are replaced. Plus, on a wet roundabout the car now longer feels like its having a slide from the front wheels. 1999 Defender TD5 110
