Get them to speak to Ross at Hereford, not that much will happen but at least they will see another vehicle with similar issues. And perhaps will save time with your vehicle being off the road as Land Rover will tell your dealer to 'try things' that make no difference as we have found with CarlS truck. 130's have feeling's as well you know Smile

I now have the car back after not seeing it for nearly 8 weeks Shocked albeit for a road test. Land Rover have instructed Listers to put some different shims in the swivels.

Listers want me to road test the car on my usual journey to & from work & monitor where it usually has its braking/not DSC issues. My fingers are tightly crossed....... The spawn of AndrewS

Update Shocked I've got the truck back again, the steering wheel angle sensor has been changed this time. Listers have asked me to take it for a test drive again to see if it's any better.... to be continued.

Also need to mention that Land Rover are aware of this issue now, they're finding more Defenders are coming in with similar issues. The spawn of AndrewS

......continuing.

After fitting a new steering angle sensor there has been no change. The Listers dealership are no longer attempting to fix the vehicle, Shukers in Ludlow (dealership of purchase) are now having the truck back & supplying me with a courtesy car.

At the moment we haven't heard anything on how or when this problem will be resolved. This is getting frustrating, I can't grumble at having a Disco 4 as a courtesy car but it's not my Defender!! Big Cry The spawn of AndrewS

I'm a little surprised that JLR are giving you the vehicle back to "see" if the fault is fixed. Don't they road test first rather than use you as the crash test dummy?

So am I!

The dealership mechanics can't replicate the issue on a test drive so they pass it back to me to test. When the JLR tech guys came down & carried out their test drive, they drove the vehicle from the dealership to me & got me to drive it. With a bit of explaining I managed to get one of the JLR guys in the drivers seat & replicating the issue.

I did say to the dealer the other day that I'll keep hold of it & drive it with the DSC turned off, I'm not allowed to do that though, hence the reason for it going back...again. The spawn of AndrewS

Final Update!

The vehicle has now been officially rejected & this has been accepted by JLR. We are currently discussing what happens with the existing accessories & modifications on my truck & the cost implications if there are any changing into the new one (depreciation ect).

It sounds a little complicated trying to replace mine, as you can't order any & most are allocated, but Shukers have found one for me. The new truck hasn't been built yet, I haven't had the delivery date confirmed yet either, it's estimated for February, I keep the courtesy car until it arrives.

Both Shukers (Ludlow) & Listers (Hereford) have been great & very understanding. JLR have been good as well, a little slow with answers at times but I can't blame them, it sounds like this has been a difficult one to understand.

Mixed emotions really....sad to see it go, I was hoping they were going to crack it but its gone on too long. However, I am looking forward to the new one arriving in Feb, it'll be one of the last I'd imagine.

Out of interest, does anyone know what happens to the rejected vehicles? The spawn of AndrewS

Thought I would update on mine as well. It is now back with the dealer again with a copy of this thread. They appear to be taking it a little more seriously now. I hope that my issues are unconnected as the fault Carl had sound potentially leathal but I am not taking any chances and pointed my concerns out to the dealer.

Mind the disco sport they have given me is nice for a few days
