Looking for some info to figure out why my TD5 clutch has some squeeze noise every time I release the clutch pedal!!
sounds like "EEEEEEEEEEEEEERR" does it need lube on the spring? Thanks Update video add! https://youtu.be/31WqOclzB-Q Last edited by RF3777 on 5th May 2015 8:56am. Edited 2 times in total |

Hi, Lambley
The noise sounds more from the footwell, would try to lube the spring first! Is it possible spray some WD40 through the hole where the pedal come out? Sorry but where is clutch box located? |

It looks like your pedal has had the spring modification done - which makes it easier to press the pedal, mine creaked a bit until I'd greased it, try and grease the spring at the back of the pedal, where it fits into the 2 plastic bits in either side, just put a bit of grease around there and where it touches the back of the pedal and see if it stops squeaking, if not then have a look under the bonnet - above where the pedal sits, there will be a cover with 6 screws, undo them and have a look inside - it should look like the picture posted above, just grease the moving parts of the pedal, try not to get too much grease near the rubber boot that's on the cylinder - just use a spray grease, you'll be fine.

I did some WD40 on it, both the pedal and the clutch box...
the clutch box rubber boot looks torn! I did some spry on the rod! |

And did it work?
If not I'd be tempted to take the spring off the back of the pedal and replace it with an original one, you might have to buy one though, not expensive |
