Just as we are seeing the end of our Defender, look J**p are going all back to basics.
Guess they see a gap in the market http://truckyeah.jalopnik.com/jeeps-diesel...1692423427 |

Just looking at the size of that load bin, means it will make an awesome overlanding platform. --

no chance of that happening. Gerry is too busy looking at his reflection in a mirror, checking out how good his 3-piece suit looks --

Maybe the 'rest of the world' defender (if built overseas) might be basic and retain all the features most of us value. Maybe. |

I really DO like the overland Jeep. Its so disappointing that Land Rover are all excited about their Discovery Sport/Evoque thing and are content to completely let go of their halo, heritage vehicle.
It seems that Jeep are going down the right path; keeping their heritage, producing emission and safety compliant utility vehicles as well as their 'lifestyle' rubbish. To see the Defender go and be replaced with a 'family' of Evoque clones and expensive bling just seems so wrong. Rant over. Have you seen the AEV Jeep brute? Love it. http://www.filson.com/products/filson-edit...92098.html Click image to enlarge |

Yep - that's another nice truck they did.
I guess it helps with the volume of total sales they have to give them the resources to make these specials. |
