Mounting back the self adjusting brake pedal sensor
Does anybody know how to mount the brake light sensor and brake pedal sensor back?
They are self adjusting.
Do I need to push the panel to the bottem when I mount these sensors, or it it just the opposite?

Didn't think they were self adjusting. Just a simple on / off in a single position?

They are self adjusting, it also says so in the manual, but the manual doesn't tell how to mount them Sad

Munch 90, thnx, the centre pins are completely out.
If you disassemble them they go completely forward.

My guess is I made the mistake to put the brake pedal down to make it more easy to mount the switches back.
If yoy turn them to mount the centre pin goes to much forward and thinks that the starting point.

I mounted them again with the brake pedal not pressed.
I think that is the most logical way to 'start' the self adjusting...............when you turn them they 'self adjust.

Tomorrow I will check if that was the right way Rolling Eyes

Yes the centre pin comes out when you remove from the pedal , but on most modern brake light switches the centre pin is on a ratchet and you pull the centre pin out , then fit the switch with the pedal pushed down then release the pedal slowly to set the switch

OK, the correct way to do it is:

1) Don't touch the brake pedal.
2) Mount the brake light switch and brake pedal sensor and turn 45 degrees to fasten.
3) Operate the brake pedal and check if the brake lights go on/off at the right time.

That's all, but you just have to know it Razz

PS This procedure seems to be different from the procedure for a Discovery or Range Rover Sport.
