^^ Brings me to the question, are ATs then much noisier at speed than the former standard GG TR or the now standard Contis? You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Just had a quick look on the BFG site and the KM2 is a little quieter that the current AT (76db v 77db) http://www.bfgoodrich.co.uk/gb/ranges/4x4-...nsion-tire I'll see if I can find the spec on the GG TR. cheers simon EDIT: I found this link with a number of tyres listed with the db rating. Simon, thanks. I also have seen now that both the GG TR and the Conti's presently used by LR are both 75dB.
I cannot find the dB rating of the coming new BGF A/T KO2 yet, but presume will be about the same. They logically should be a tad quieter again than the KM2 which are 76 dB as you say. I did see that the European availability of the new A/T KO2 now is given by BFG as July 2015. So will be driving carefully and sparingly on my Nokian wintertires this summer until that time.
