Day 2 with the dynamat.
Today I finished dynamating the upper panels in the back of the utility. As you end up having a few off cuts with dynamat but all come in handy, I dynamated the rear door with a patchwork quilt style of dynamat off cuts. I also discovered that as I lost a sheet of dynamat yesterday because it stuck itself together, I need one more sheet to finish off the side panel of the rear tub Russell 2011MY 110 XS USW Black |

How many sheets in total did you use and did you do the roof or just the tub and sides?

Ray,
I have so far used........ 15 sheets of dynamat superlite on the roof and upper sides, rear quarter lights and rear door. (see pictures on page 4) 8.3 sheets of dynamat extreme on the rear tub. One bulk pack of superlite (contains 12 sheets) is enough to cover the entire roof and have 1 sheet left over which would more than cover the rear door as you have a station wagon so no need to cover the upper sides or rear quarter lights. Just remember all off cuts can't be used Russell 2011MY 110 XS USW Black |

Great thanks, I'm just trying to price up what I need to do it all at once it's expensive stuff!! I was going to stick closed cell foam (about 10 mm thick) on top of the dynamat before putting the trims back to add a bit of insulation and stop condensation over winter.

Be careful as 10mm may be too thick when replacing the side trims. I used camping mat on top of Dynamat Extreme, and found that it was enough. If the need for thicker is required, then double the thickness !

you have to shop around, one place had it on sale the other week for £119.99 for a bulk pack but normally you can get it for £130 - £140 a pack Russell
