1987 Defender 90 300 Tdi HT Epsom Green
90 xs hard top
Two questions as I have little confidence with the answers given by the dealer. With a new hard top xs:

Does the headlining continue into the rear as with a station wagon or just in the front?

There is an option to have the bulkhead removed and replaced with a bar as with the station wagons, I like this idea so I can push the seats back, but is there a cargo barrier / mesh item available to stop objects pushing forward but not obstructing the front seats being pushed back further, the reason for me wanting to remove bulkhead in the first place.

Any pictures / feed back would be appreciated.

in the past standard hardtops had only front headlinings but I believe they had full headlining if you got the County roof kit, ie Alpine Windows.

Doubt if this helps you much though.

Mine is a HT XS with deleted bulk head, it has the head lining right through.
I hope the pics help.

The Headlining they use now is a charcoal colour and as others have mentioned on the XS it covers the whole of the roof. I'm a tall guy so was looking at the option Land Rover offers with the deleted bulkhead however I like having the rear separate to the cab so if needs be when I get mine I will get the mud bulkhead removal bar. This means that instead of removing the whole of the rear bulkhead, the bulkhead height is just reduced (see photo) this allows the seat to recline more. You can get cargo nets which you can use to stop items coming forward.
