Transfer Box Ratio Change?
You may have read my earlier thread regarding my noisy defender. I've still not got to the bottom of it but have eliminated both prop shafts, wheels & tyres. I'm going to have to take it in to get it looked at and was thinking if it turns out to be the transfer box should I consider a ratio change? I've got a remap and a bigger inter cooler so I it certainly makes enough power. When I'm on the motorway it is noisy and high revving.

You've already got a 1.2 transfer box on a 2.4 Puma, the earlier td5 / tdi had a 1.4 that benefit from a swap to an ex disco 1.2 transfer box.

Taller tyres might help.
