Installed air bag spring inserts (Polyairs) in the rear of the Puma today and whilst getting the springs in and out and cleaning everything I noted the ABS sensor lines for the rear wheels curve around the edge of the lower spring mount. This last section of the wiring is not covered by conduit and I notice it had a slight wear mark on the insulation. It hadn't worn through by a long way but it would eventually I'd guess.
I suspect this applies to both Td5 and Puma Defenders unless it is just the Puma and Ford skimping on 6" extra of conduit per rear wheel. Suffice to say mine are now better protected with an extra length of conduit. 110 2.4TDCi 110 300Tdi LROCV ::: AULRO.com |

The looms for the TC and ABS have been a matter of concern for several forum members, myself included. The quote below was from a historical thread from some time ago that gives details of a similar fault (I had intermittent illumination of TC and ABS lights that got progressively worse) vehicle was in twice for the fault, worth getting underneath and having a look if you've got the time and inclination.....

I just had a look at mine. No rubbing but they're tucked under the spring mount. If I'd been driving corrugations then I imagine they'd be rubbing pretty bad.
I've just cable-tied them by the sheath to the brake lines so all out of harm's way Thanks for the tip One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |

Is it this one that's supposed to be tied with a cable tie (cable tie marked as "5" in the attached)?

Here's a couple of pics to help you identify it.
