Switched live???
OK,So,I spent the week-end fitting a lurvelypair of Exmoor trim seats, with Waeco heaters.
I have searched previous posts and found out that the red wire is permenent live, and the orange wire is switched live.I can pick up a permenent from the battery compartment,no problem, but.Where is the best place to pick up a switched live????
Thanks in advance.

White with a green stripe is ignition switched and fused 12V.

I assume the kit uses this feed to trigger a relay and not to power the seats?  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Yes it triggers a relay.
Where can I find a white with green stripe?
Is it possible to pick up a switched live from the back of the fuse box.ie use one of the spare fuses or pigy back off something thats existing?

Look at the link I posted....there's loads of switched lives in the diagrams and you can even find your 'green with white stripe' therein (Chapter 501-10 Seating). Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Appreciate that the wiring diagrams can just look like a bunch of lines - may not be totally intuitive Wink

An 07 Puma will have plenty of switched live in the fuse box under the steering wheel Smile

Fuse 33 is the location of the factory heated seat fuse, you might be lucky and pick one up from there.

I assume a French spec XS doesn't have heated seats then?  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

My truck was origionaly a H/T.but with windows.
I am in the process of installing a S/W interieur.Or should I say the parts I like from a S/W.

Fuses 34 & 35 are also switched live for the windows if 33 isn't convenient. Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
