Ok... So second job of the day was to start looking at swapping the stereo over... Seemed straight forward enough - although the new stereo seems to have more wiring than the rest of the dash combined!
Removed the original Alpine ok, but most of the wiring doesn't match the new stereo... Do I need to buy an adapter harness as well? Sub wiring fits / antenna is ok / rest doesn't match... The original Alpine has a small connector that's got a short bit of loom that then plugs into a larger connector. Neither end matches the connector on the new loom - it's got the standard ISO type for the 2 connectors... Am I missing something, or do I just need to buy more wires!! No idea where I'm going to hide the load I already have... Last edited by Nick-St on 9th Aug 2013 9:38pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Autoleads make a specific Defender (PC2-117-4) lead that looks very much like the Fiesta '09> one (PC2-106-4). I would imagine the Fiesta one is more likely to be in stock in the shops, so if anyone knows it fits - that would be great!

It sounds like the right one but as I mentioned I cannot be certain 100%. Perhaps change the thread title to "Which audio loom for a 2.2 Puma?" might be a better title to attract attention to answer your question. KEEP CALM AND Drill ON

Wow - big price differences out there for these! Nexxia seems like the cheapest!
