Wheel spacers
Is there any real benefit fitting 30mm wheel spacers, do they improve handling, turning circle, or stability in any way? are any better than others.

Thanks

BH a few threads on them.... Thumbs Up

Should you perhaps be considering changing your wheels a decent offset will give you the same 'look' without the expense of buying the spacers.

They can also create issues....

I have a friend who fitted them and now his has always got dirt up the sides which is enough to put me off. Can't have my Landie with dirt on it.

Dirt defenders help with the dirty spray, cited them to my 110 makes a big difference. Thumbs Up

Now then Boss, have both on my keeper.

Standard Wolf rims with MTR's and spacers in Winter.

Overfinch 18inch five spokes with Bridgestone in the Summer.

Both have the same offset, IE at the full extent of the wheel arches. Which means a better turning circle after adjusting the lock stops.

Handling should be better having a wider track, but it is a Defender not a boy racer.

Yes you do get mud / road dirt down the sides, unless you fit rear dirt fenders and the Glynn Lewis extended front mud flap.

Fit the GL front outrigger protectors at the same time and save your chassis.

But after all the above the motor looks dam good.

Thanks for your responses, don't intend to change the wheels as mentioned, currently on saw tooth's which I actually like.
Couple of good options there reference mud protection, though being honest I have more of a garage queen than a mud buster ! .. I did see arch exstenders on a 90 HT at Peterborough, a good option to keep the wheels within the arch anyone know who sells these?

Thanks
