Flywheel and clutch: Valeo or Luk
Right now I have a brand new Valeo clutch and flywheel set, and have traveling to Colombia a Luk set. Some experience on Luk one? I have used Valeo, but the flywheel is kind of weak (this is the third flywheel of this car, whit 250.000 km), was wondering if maybe the Luk one could be an improve. Thanks for your comments.

I bought a luk one and when I opened the box it was a valeo. Might not all be the same though? 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Valeo was OEM. LUK are good to, but for the TD5, they may just be reboxed Valeo's.

My one in a 54 TD5 is Valeo, date stamped 2004.

Thanks a lot for your comments. I'm going to ask to the commercial people to be sure if they are Luk or just Valeo reboxed (I work in Luk). Let you know any news...

LuK are part of the Schaeffler group and are a quality brand not a cheap aftermarket brand FAG, INA and Ruville are all part of the group and the biggest flywheel manufacturer in
Europe so I wouldn't have any concerns, I would fit a matched set (clutch and flywheel, release bearing, spigot bearing)

I would be looking at the nose cone (that the release bearing rides along) and checking the output shaft is true as maybe someone before has had the weight of the box hanging on it. There is also a plastic cup in the clutch fork that the fork pivots the pivots on check this for wear it is widely missed.

Do not use grease except on the splines or this can happen (see attached pic)
