SORRY but
That comment is taken from Mobilecentre announcement here No mention of stainless steel rings in the announcement there as far as I can see. So I did not forget anything Now what is actually important, whether the price includes or does not include a pair of stainless rings or the actual specifications? Noldens have an IP rating of IP 6K9K which is superior to the Speaker Evo 2 IP rating of IP67 Speakers have a measured light output of 1700 lumens which is superior to the Speaker Evo 2 measured light output of 1150 lumens. Now some people will be happy to use their existing headlight rings and fittings, others will want to buy new rings be they mild steel or stainless rings, and replace the fittings be they mild steel or stainless fittings. Chances are that you can find people selling stainless rings and mild steel fitting kits cheaper then us. We can also supply the fitting and adjustment screws in stainless, however the clip/nut are however still mild steel. The stainless adjustment screws did not come cheap, I wonder how many places they are available from? We can also supply stainless lamp guards as well. We decided that it was simpler to offer a group buy just on the Nolden headlights rather then on all the possible combinations. People are buying the stainless rings, fitting kits etc as add ons and some people are even adding recovery gear and wheel carriers with their orders. So far we have despatched these RHD Noldens to Gibralter, Zambia and Indonesia as well as the UK in the last few weeks. After typing all that I had a break to move vehicles around and decided to do a bit of surfing and at the bottom of Evo 2 page on the Mobilecentre website I found
here at a price of £599.40 So I take my hat off to TJ for knowing details of the Mobilecentre website better then I do! How other suppliers 'package' their goods and price their packages is up to them. Please remember this thread is supposed to be about a group buy on Noldens. As I have said previously

Mine arrived today, excellent service and a great price, thank you for offering this Brendan.
They look absolutely superb - very solidly made, I can't wait to get them fitted. One question I have though - does it matter which light goes on which side of the vehicle? I can't see anything to say one is the left hand side and one is the right - are they identical and it doesn't matter? Thanks again, ChrisA. |

Hi Chris, no it does not matter which side which light goes in.
However it does matter which way up they go, dare I say top goes to the top? Brendan |

Currently we are out of stock of Nolden lights. A consignment left Germany via DHL last Wednesday 4th November, which should have been with us by Monday 9th November at the latest. However we are dealing with couriers here and after 3 days chasing them they will be delivering that consignment today between 3-5pm. Couriers, God bless their cotton socks!
We have also lost broadband at the office/home last night where I was going to send out individual emails to people waiting for their new lights. All I can do is apologise and try to resolve the issues as soon as possible. Brendan |

I have been told that the consignment will be delivered between 3pm and 5pm so as long as they do bring them today they will go out Monday.
Have got a consignment of boxes delivered which should be a better box size for sending out the lights on Monday. Unfortunately we are at the mercy of courier drivers and it would appear that this big normally reliable company has had shall we say a less then perfect driver. The driver is saying that he was turned away by the staff in reception in the main mill building. Reception there is used to taking in/arranging storage of everything from a small letter to a container load of goods as there is over a 100 companies in the mill complex. Proof of his attempted delivery? A google map street view photograph of the main mill building! You might understand if I find that rather odd. Brendan |
