Ok before I post more photos of the build, here is the Finished product so to speak It took two years three months most of my spare time and blood sweat and tears to get it looking like this and there is still a little work to do on it. I think all the work has been worth it....
Latest editions have been a stainless steel DLR bumper and side bars and a new set of Alloys/ Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

For anyone wondering what colour this is, the colour is Trident Green a solid colour that Land Rover used in the early eighties. I happened to have twenty litres of it that i bought ten years ago at auction. I was a uncertain if i should use the paint but when i enquired how much paint was I thought i would use the colour as I already had it to save a bit of money. Personally i think the colour works and its a bit unique as not many Defenders are sprayed this colour.

I was and I absolutely love it...
And what a fabulous treat, from start to finish in one hit, brilliant... Not sure I could have followed it for over two years... A proper labour of love you must be justly proud of, very nice one gilarion... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al[/color] |

Is this the fuel filler and vent? so its a TD5> tub on a TDi chassis?

Yes its a TD5 tub on a 200TDi chassis, getting the bends right on that stainless steel pipe was a nightmare particularly from the filler neck, but the lads at http://www.topgearstockport.co.uk/ who make bespoke exhaust persevered and got it right.

Well done gilarion looks great, you are no doubt proud of BIG...
Always good to see a ground up rebuild, only done it once, (not on a Defender), you really know your vehicle when you're finished... SKIP https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic83242.html |
