Think alive have the best one at the moment. It's massive. And very very well made.

Ok, one each way... anyone else before I flip a coin ??
Seems hard to work out any specs on the two of these... I guess Pete's is a tad cheaper and I might get a slightly cheaper bundled freight deal with my Remap tool...? But the Alive one is a cool grey colour.... hmmmmmm. |

Hey Big Steve, do you have any info you can share or point me to regarding your 3.2 conversion? Hamish.

Hamish if you do a search placing "3.2" in the subject and "big steve" in the author box it will throw up 49 threads relating to the truck.
It is a natural trait for just about everyone to say that what they have fitted is the best. I too have a larger intercooler and at the time due to quality issues with the Alisport I veered clear and chose a different one. There are a myriad of threads regarding intercooler upgrades on here. They all ultimately do the same thing. Have a look at the threads, perhaps make a few enquiries and then make your own uniform, unbiased choice. Colour doesn't matter it won't be seen much. In the interim here is a picture for you. Sorry it is not in your preferred colour of grey though. The colour makes a big difference, Black is much more efficient!

How does black make it more efficient? I would have thought black would attract the heat more than silver which is kind of the opposite required 2023 Defender L663 V8

Did you buy it direct from Alisport if so I would ask for a replacement.# I have two Alisports one on a 200TDi, it is nearly eight years old and still looks brand new. The more recent one has only done about 3000 miles and looks as good as the day I fitted it. Last edited by gilarion on 20th Jun 2014 5:47pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Nope, I'll post some more up, it has started on the inside and was on my Td5 'toy' so never steamed or anything like that. Just a cheap crap core sadly.

I spoke to them at the time but they didn't seem interested. Had 20 questions about the life of the vehicle etc......I'm a diesel engineer for Gods sake I think I know how to treat an intercooler I spoke to trading standards about it at the time, but it was at a certain point in my life when everything was falling apart around me so it got forgotten about.
