Spotted this oil on the offside front wheel, should I be concerned, from reading various posts is it a breather issue or wheel bearing or something more serious. Cant see any initial causes, such as from the hub area?

Have a look to see if the fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir has dropped. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Josh K - inside shot of the wheel and hub (see picture below)
Spudfan - just checked brake fluid, all OK filled up to top Gum97 - I think so, as I have only done a few hundred miles, hard to tell, problems with being a newbie. Whip the wheel off and take a photo of the centre of the hub. Chances are and taking your photos into consideration that's where your issue may lie. It may be as simple as replacing a paper gasket.

As k9 said maybe hub gasket or the center rubber caps are renowned for splitting take the wheel off and you'll spot it straight away CSK Automotive
