I fitted the Mobile Storage Systems glove box conversion a while back... Only takes about 30 mins from start to finish.. Very solid bit of kit, and IMHO, well worth the money.. ... ,-------, .. I went with the Mud one as it has a full length hinge. Very pleased, found a rubber mat on ebay and cut it to size to fit inside. 2008 Defender 110 XS CSW

Fitted one of these the other day. Very pleased with it.
SWMBO cut out some of the black rubbery anti-slip material to line it. Jammed the edge under the long hinge to secure it. Sorted!! Cheers, Tony |

I fitted mine tonight,
It isn't my cup of tea, the top lid is not the best fit IMHO. |

The Mudstuff one is manufactured by Mobile Storage Systems and is the same kit that we use in our trimmed leather version. The one failing in the kit is that replacement screws are not supplied for the hinge to be attached to the dash and so people tend to reuse the original dash top screws which have too big a head and stop the lid closing properly. If this is what you've used, replace those two screws with countersunk ones and I'd be surprised if you weren't then delighted ! |

I can see where the original torx are holding the lid up.
I am also not keen on the nut covers for the lid, I think I'll try to figure out something to get it looking original. |

Take a look at our leathered lids - www.fcx.co.uk - we can use your existing kit if required ....
