Ordered a Drain Plug and 600mm hose from Femco today, sent email at 9am and got a reply by 10am, agreed price and they sent me an email invoice which I could pay with via pay pal. Great service from Femco and I saved £12.00 against Difflocks price.

That echoes my experience. It came quickly too.
They didn't use to sell them to the public - but I'm assuming the weight of enquiries changed that |

Drain Plug and hose arrived this morning one day after ordering, complete with fitting instructions. Femco UK, what a great company to deal with and much cheaper than Difflock. Now no more messy oil all over the path when changing the oil

Hi All,
Which site is the official site? I did a search for these out of interest and found at least 3! First one is this: https://www.nospillsystems.com/index.cfm Second one is this: http://www.femcodraintechnology.com Third one is this: http://www.femco-drain.com I get the ease of doing your own oil changes for this, but will it cause any problems off road or if it happened to get hit? Will it water in when crossing rivers, streams, or floods? |

This is their website.
http://www.femcodraintechnology.com/ As far as off goading is concerned, they tend to be well hidden away. Either on the back, or side of the engine/box. They are also very sturdy and well made. They won't let water in or any other material as there are three systems to protect it. There is a screw cap with seal that covers the plug, then there is the main seal, then a plunger that has to be pushed inward to allow the oil to flow out. They are great things. Fitted one yesterday. I love the fact I can do an oil change, putting the waste oil straight into old oil containers, even though one container is not enough, but you can stop when you want and control the flow, allowing container swap, Also being able to do oil changes whilst oil is very hot. Thanks Andy!
Will start saving up for them then. I actually saw these before I owned my Defender and was considering them for my T*y*ta HiL*x but that the oil drain bolt was under the pan rather than on the side as it is with the Defender hence the question. |

Just ordered mine from Femco UK http://www.drainplug.co.uk/
They say "DP1039 Femco Plug M14x1.5 T11.5 at £25.50 and a drain tube DP1023 Drain tube, 600mm at £10.75. Carriage will be £2.50. With VAT the total will be £46.50. If this is acceptable we will send a paypal invoice which you can pay online. When we get the funds we will ship 1st Class post" A few quid (£4.50 +) cheaper than Difflock (they were £50.91 plus any shipping charge) I'll be doing an oil/filter change next month so I'll fit it then Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |

They are a nice bit of kit, I like mine.
With the amount people buying them, would it be worth doing a group buy? 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |
