If I understand the ARB are the same since 2003 for 110, the P38 and for Wolf Is it the same for Truetrac? Does anyone put one Truetrac on the rear axle of his Puma 110? Thanks. |

Why the Kam over the ARB, are they cheaper or just better or easier to fit. I had a look at them as well but was a bit put off by the welding which meant I had to get someone to fit it for me. Original Member Pie n Pea Club. 110 HCPU Tipper |

Why ? I thought that one truetrac on front and one on rear were enought for me for sand, mud and rocks. I thought that diff locks needs heavy duty half shafts and flanges but truetrac no. Do you think rear ARB is better than 2 truetrac ? Thanks. |

If you follow the link you can read the differences and recomendations, I personally haven't bothered up rating my half shafts for my rear ARB, but I don't enter competitions or drive the shafts too hard. The truetracs are cheaper and they lock to 70% and are proven to be reliable.
If you drive on sand alot then do you air down your tyres, if so then you will need a compressor, so the ARB compressor can be dual use, i.e. it will work your Difflock and provide air for tyres etc. Original Member Pie n Pea Club. 110 HCPU Tipper |

Well, this could be a long story, but on uneven terrain with twisted axles I would say full lockable diffs would work better. I heard for flat sand and ice TT are enough. I do not rock crawling and connect the arb before things become ugly. In this way I have managed to keep my std halfshafts. How much air is needed for the activation of the ARB lockers. I now have a compressor on the warn powerplant. Would I need a resevoir too?

Cibit, lets do em next week, off today but stuck in Aberdeen doing exams til friday.
The locker was fitted with assistance from Pete Bell's Mate, but is straight fwd once it is built into the diff, best to buy one already in the diff then you can take it out when you sell. The warn will supply more than enough air as is, though you would need a solenoid to regulate the air to the diff etc I'll show you mine if you show me yours. If you look in devon 4 x 4 forum there are a few complete ones for sale, or a full set including compressor for 1k which is a bargain Original Member Pie n Pea Club. 110 HCPU Tipper |

Hello, I'm happy to know that ARB can be use with OE halfshat and cleverness. I've already a compressor (flash air) but I just want to use it for the tires. It quickly becomes hot when using. If I decide to fit an ARB I surely put another compressor. thanks. |

I like the look of the ARB too. I wanted to uprate my half shafts and I was tempted by the KAM ones. I guess that led me to look at their uprated, lockable diff too. I agree that having one that you don't need to weld the case would be a bonus. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |
