Mal, you are luckier than me....you made Chief. I have been Sergeant for the past 4 years and I will have another 6 years to push before I am even considered to go up the ladder a little more! My sideboards are worth it though Very Happy .

Off Topic Glyn I was a sergeant for 14 years, took the Queen's shilling in 1978. Went MIA in Florida for five days, arrested for flag thieving in Bermuda and got locked up with Bob Marley's reincarnate, got lost and had to be rescued in Canada on a skidoo, lunchtime at Valley North Wales went rockpooling in my uniform and to save grace from being rescued swam back with two mates when we got cut off by the tide Laughing Wouldn't change a thing....Have had a blast and would do it all again. My mates at home are like Hobbits only venturing out of the Shire to go to Lanzarotty or Tenereeeeffffie.
Reassuring that when I'm done I'll get nearly a grand a month just for opening my eyes each day....Time to leave now though I think and try something else....
My saying goes like this...."Here's 20p the Naafi have got a special on F**k Off Pie....Go treat yourself to a slice I'm buying!!!!"
