For what it's worth, my bonnet had been painted under the original hinges and so no touching up was needed.

if im paying over 100 quid for something I would like it to be the right size , yes I could touch up , paint whole bonnet or make a gasket
but then mines locked down anyway so doesn't effect me anyway
