I reckon it's exactly the same as this one available for weld on £36, bolt on £45 welds or bolts straight to your existing decat pipe....Ironically the link you posted sell the Griffin Exhaust Systems and this one is from the Griffin Shop...Quite a few watchers too....

It wasn't a joke. It was something very technical that I managed all by myself. I didn't even have to consult the Mrs. It was a real Land Rover MAN day. Mr. Green 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Just remember from a testers point of view if looks like a cat it`s a pass weather it`s fake or not.

As for D,P,F, bodge make it good already pulled one on a van he was`ent happy. no dpf but all wires and pipes sitting there, silly man.

If you put a big metal box around it. It`s pass and advise as it`s a visual inspection only. We can`t remove it although we will assume it`s dodgy. so don`t get cocky as a vt 17 form and a visit to a full and proper vosa testing centre may get you a pg9 and trouble.
The rest is up to you

P.s there are plans to check ecu parameters and nitrogen levels at tail pipe ect in time, so the smoke test as we know it may change.

As with all things vosa when it comes into force who knows...........

Please no arguments, not taking sides I`am just an mot tester following the book. whose land rover is due for it`s first mot in 2 months time and yes the cats still original and fitted it`s still under warranty and to me that's more important than the mot will ever be....

Quite. And how tin pot does that look?!!! If I was MOTing I would be especially unimpressed with that cheap looking can welded onto a gleaming stainless steel exhaust system, especially when it looks nothing like the original!

Total cost was the same amount I sold my old cat to a fellow forum member for. Nothing ventured, nothing gained but it has been a little headscratching but enjoyable with a good result I think. Just need to get the two tig welded together next week and nailed on the truck. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Deed is done. Had a nightmare undoing one of the 15mm M10 decat pipe securing nuts. Ended up with a Dremmel and an unscheduled hour cutting the nut off. Replaced the nuts with 17mm stainless M10s which will be a little more substantial should they need to come off again. Gave my old decat to a fellow forum member to have something to work with should he decide to go down a similar avenue.

I hope Mal doesn't mind me chipping in but noo, that stays on post MOT and should be a fit for life job. Having seen his handywork up close it's a fantastic job and looks every bit like a sports cat should do. Can't see why it wouldn't pass the visual inspection Thumbs Up

As ever, Mal's attention to detail and quality of workmanship is excellent. Cool 2015 90 XS CSW TDCi - Beautiful
